During WWI

Women had to do mens jobs such as working in a munitions factory making anti-troop and ant-tank ammunition. Women also had to work in the transport system as bus conductors etc. After the war women recieved much more credit as it had been proven that women could do jobs as good as if not better than men.

David Lloyd George was Prime minister at the time

We were bombed by German Zeppelins

The Government used Propoganda to make the public hate the Germans

The Germans unleashed a naval bombardment on the British town of Scarborough + Whitby.

Propaganda was also used to make troops sign up for the armed forces
